The products you use at home every day are just as important to your overall health as what you put on your plate. Using only natural ingredients such as vinegar, baking soda and essential oils, these Home & Personal Care recipes offer natural, chemical-free alternatives to many of today’s commercial cleansers and bath and body products.

HOUSEHOLD CLEANERS  |  PERSONAL CARE (Bath & Body)

HOUSEHOLD
CLEANERS
All-Purpose Window Wash
Ingredients
¼ cup white distilled vinegar
½ tsp. liquid soap or detergent
2 cups water

Directions
Combine all ingredients in a spray bottle and shake to blend. Spray onto window surface and remove with a paper towel or newspaper. Store in a cool, dry place.

Carpet Freshener
Ingredients
4 cups baking soda
35 drops eucalyptus essential oil
30 drops lavender essential oil
25 drops rosewood essential oil

Directions
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well blended, breaking up any lumps with a fork. Sprinkle mixture onto floor and let sit for about 15 minutes before vacuuming. Store in a glass jar, and keep in a cool, dry place.

All-Purpose Glass Cleaner
Ingredients
¼ cup white distilled vinegar
½ teaspoon liquid soap or detergent
2 cups water
25 drops pure lavender antiseptic essential oil

Directions
Combine all ingredients in a spray bottle and shake to blend. Spray on glass surface and wipe clean with a paper towel or newspaper.

Lavender Soft Scrubber
Ingredients
½ cup baking soda
1 cup liquid soap or detergent
10 drops pure lavender antiseptic essential oil

Directions
Place baking soda in a small bowl. Slowly mix in liquid soap, stirring constantly until it is the consistency of frosting. Add lavender oil. Apply mixture directly onto sponge and use on sinks, countertops and other household surfaces.

Note:
This mixture will start to harden rather quickly, so make only what you need. You may also add some pure vegetable glycerin to help the mixture stay softer longer. Place remaining cleanser in a jar and seal the lid tightly.

Lemon Floor Wash
Ingredients
¼ cup liquid soap or detergent
½ cup lemon juice \
½ cup white distilled vinegar
25 drops lemon essential oil
1 gallon water

Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large bucket. Mix until soapy. Mop or sponge to clean the floor as normal, and rinse.

Lemon Furniture Polish
Ingredients
1 cup olive oil
½ cup lemon juice

Directions
Combine ingredients in a spray bottle and shake well to mix. Apply a small amount to a flannel cloth or cleaning rag. Spread evenly over furniture surface. Reverse cloth and polish dry.

PERSONAL
Citrus Sugar Scrub
Ingredients
2 cups white cane sugar
2 cups vegetable glycerin
1 tsp. vitamin C crystals
5 drops orange essential oil

Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Massage gently over entire body. Rinse well with warm water. Store remaining scrub in a glass jar for up to two weeks. Keep in a cool, dry place.


Lavender Salt Glow
Ingredients
2 cups fine sea salt
4 cups almond oil
30 drops lavender essential oil

Directions
Place all ingredients in a wide-mouth jar. Mix together. Wet entire body and massage onto skin. Rinse well and towel dry.
